NACA CODE OF CONDUCT
It
is the duty of all parents and players involved in NACA volleyball to
embody the proper Christian ideals of sportsmanship, ethical conduct
and fair play. Parents and players are expected to respect the
integrity and judgment of officials and coaches and to show courtesy to
all other players and parents.Parents and/or spectators who interfere with the conduct of competition or who violate any provisions of the code of conduct may be asked to leave the playing site, may be excluded from entering playing sites for the duration of the event, and may be prohibited from attending future events. A parent’s action may also jeopardize their child’s ability to continue to play for NACA.
- I
will insist my child treat other players, coaches, and officials with
respect and show a positive attitude toward the game and all of its
participants.
- I will not taunt, threaten, or
yell at any player, coach, official,
league representative, and spectator.
- I will respect the officials and
their authority during games.
- I
will never publicly question or confront coaches at a tournament but
will take time to privately speak with the coach at an agreed upon time
and place.
- I will refrain from coaching my
child or other players during games
and practices.
- I
understand that volleyball is a team sport and that the position my
child plays is up to the coach’s discretion for the betterment of the
team.
- I accept responsibility to see
that my child attend all
practices and games, and communicate with the coaching staff when
circumstance prohibit attendance. I further understand that a lack of
attendance or chronic tardiness will result in reduced game time and
possible ineligibility.
- I agree to pay all club fees in
a timely manner.
- I agree to follow the NACA modest apparel guidelines at all NACA events. These guidelines consist of:
b. Shorts will have a minimum inseam of 4 ½ inches and should not be rolled at the waist or have writing on the back.
c. Sleeveless shirts may be worn as long as the arm holes are small enough to cover under garments. No tank-tops.
Verbal and physical assaults on athletes, coaches, referees or other parents and spectators will not be tolerated and will be reported to law enforcement and charges may be filed.
